So I tried sploshing.
Yes that's right I had a very fun and energetic sploshing session and with my client's permission I am about to give my overview of it.
First of all I never thought I'd do this, as I know one of the main points of sploshing is to get your hair and every inch of your body covered. My client very generously said I could wear a shower cap to cover my hair, but I must have on clothes, full face of makeup, etc.
Now, anyone who knows me knows I am slightly OCD, I hate mess, so I wasn't too sure if I should do this. Being messy and cant wash it off, me?! Would cake go in my eye and on my contact lenses, would I then get an eye infection? Would the cake come out of my dress in the wash? Or worse still, would I get cake into some orifice and have problems removing it?! Horrors!
Nevertheless, I gave in to my inner child dying to break out and cause a huge mess and agreed to the booking. I did a fair bit of research and discovered a lot, who knew there was even magazines dedicated to sploshing!
I'm not going to go into extreme detail, but I thought it would be like clowns at a circus and lots of cream pie throwing and whilst we DID do that when we got into a frenzy at the end, it was very erotic to start and there was something very sensual about writhing around in cream and chocolate sauce....
Luckily I am familiar with my client and we're quite acquainted, which I think made this all the more fun. The best part was just losing all inhibitions and smearing food over one another, feeding each other from our finger tips, making cream face packs on our faces...!
Overall, I will do this again, but I really under-estimated the crime scene it would leave behind and I'll definitely invest in some decorating sheets to cover up a bit better than I had!
